My superpower, I've been told, is my ability to build relationships; it's as if I have a knack for connecting with people. I take pride in my incredible capacity to identify strengths even in the most challenging situations.
I've been working in the field of supporting children and families, with a primary focus on mental health, since 2005, armed with my Bachelor of Psychology degree. I genuinely love working with people and am always open and eager to learn.
I've gained valuable skills through facilitating attachment-based parenting courses and providing training on Recognizing and Responding to Suicide Risk for mental health professionals across the province.
Sports have always been a big part of my life. I grew up playing soccer, including at the varsity level, and I've also coached varsity soccer, field hockey, and downhill ski racing. Whenever people ask me what contributed to a happy, healthy adolescent life, I always attribute it to sports. The life lessons, coping skills, and incredible, enduring friendships I forged on the field have played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today.
